Lemonade "Add-Ins" I found some delicious "add-in" ideas for your
summertime lemonade from
the Better Homes & Gardens web site that I
thought I would share with you.
Classic
Lemonade Recipe: In a large pitcher stir together 3
cups cold water, 1 cup lemon juice, and 3/4 cup
sugar until sugar is dissolved. Chill; serve over
ice with garnishes.
You can use the 'classic' recipe or one of your own.
You might even use concentrate, but here are 10
extra’s to "add-in" to the recipe to make it a
totally different summer sipper.
Key Lime Lemonade Here's a great way to use fresh mint from your
garden. Stir limeade and lime slices into lemonade
(to taste). Garnish with mint leaves.
Watermelon Lemonade Savor the flavor of fresh watermelon -- in your
glass. Puree it and combine it with a pitcher of
lemonade (to taste). Garnish with watermelon slices.
Lavender Lemonade Spruce up your lemonade by stirring in dried
lavender and fresh lavender leaves.
Peach Tea Lemonade Two refreshing drinks combine to make the perfect
summer sipper. To make it, combine equal parts of
lemonade, peach nectar, and iced tea. Garnish with
fresh peach slices. Blackberry Lemonade Fresh blackberries and sage leaves add flair to
classic lemonade -- and it all takes just seconds to
stir together. Kiwi-Melon Lemonade Lemonade is even more refreshing when you combine it
with fresh honeydew puree (to taste). Garnish with
sliced kiwifruit and honeydew.
Raspberry Lemonade Try this lemonade for a casual patio party. Simply
combine lemonade with raspberry juice (to taste).
Garnish with fresh raspberries.
Ginger Lemonade For an easy way to jazz up classic lemonade, stir in
fresh gingerroot and ripe pear slices. Garnish with
a sugar cane stalk for stirring.
Lemon Drop Lemonade Crushed lemon drops and sugar dress up the rim of
your glass, classic margarita style. Garnish with a
fresh lemon slice. Papaya Lemonade Guava juice brings fresh flavor to classic lemonade.
Garnish with a fresh papaya slice. |
